Affordable Housing

Those of us who are secure in homes we can afford may not be aware of the struggle for housing that our neighbors are experiencing. The unhoused folks we see on the streets are but the tip of the iceberg. Many, many more individuals and families are overburdened by housing costs and at risk of losing their homes. Others, also invisible to us, are living with friends, family or others – just trying to make do in the face of a very uncertain future. We want to help and ensure that we can help the movement.

Work with us on the campaign to engage congregations in creating affordable housing on their property, enabled by the new state law SB 4! Read more here!

Fostering Understanding / Combatting Racism

A once-a-month Zoom dialog is ongoing, with people of different religions and ethnicities discussing issues of concern.  If you would like to be part of a similar newly forming group, contact us here.

When grounded in empathy and oriented toward equity, racial healing has restorative potential, and affirms the inherent value of all people. There are many ways to approach a conversation around combatting racism. Our monthly zoom meetings are a time to connect, relate and respect each other for the views and the resources we each bring to the table of conversation. Our hope is that these conversations and resources are one step in the process of racial equity as we consider how racism is part of our systems and institutions.
